We are preparing the first gathering of chocolate children from children’s homes. We have addressed the directors of individual institutions and are discussing our initiative with them. Our primary objective is the absolute securing of all our communication and other activities. One of these is the Chocolate Room – a virtual space where you will be able to meet all the chocolate children living in children’s homes through brief profiles. In the first phase, the children will introduce themselves, and over time they will start inviting you to various events, the organisation of which they will participate in – understandably in proportion to their age. The issue is not so much the actual effect of their activity, rather than being involved, the awareness that they are taking part in something. The result may be an extensive Chocolate Club, which anybody can join – and it certainly won’t matter if they’re white.
We are also preparing the first major event – a Chocolate Party. This will be a diverse experience-based event, which will oscillate between a perceptual entertaining show and interaction among participants. It will include concerts by music bands, street dance performances, street sports activities – ranging from streetball to skateboarding, musical and creative workshops, an interactive television studio, experience-based exhibitions of individual African cultures, crash courses in tribal dance... The chocolate children should “co-organise” and coordinate the entire event. It will be THEIR event to which they can invite friends no matter what their skin colour. The essence is an ancient wisdom that says “It is difficult to refuse a hand held out for a friendly handshake.”
